- I think a lot has to do with CIS & internet access. There is something funny
- about it I can't quite pin down. It seems to go to sleep and the remote server
- 'forgets' I am connected and this results in a lock-up or long timeouts. Up
- until this 'sleep' period, the transfer rate seems quite good.

-
- That might explain something, as CIS uses a file-selector style FTP access,
- and it's almost impossible to upload to a directory you can't actually read
- the contents of.

-
- As I said, CIS is not above suspicion.

- Ok..

- I have no way of telling to be honest - for the prices we pay, our access
- should be pretty much assured. :I

- I tried bouncing it through the Hensa internet cache, but it was even slower. :(

- Ok, that's fine.

- I wasn't aware there was any significant difference, apart from the format
- of course.

- Is it necessary to subscribe to this list? I think I tried but got no
- confirmation. What is the full address? I think I used <bm_bin@rand.thn.htu.se>
